Ascent Trip Report

The road gate on the S side is not where shown on the topo. It is actually just east of BM 918. Road has been abandoned for some time. Recent ice storms have dropped a lot of tree debris on the road. The forest above the old road is somewhat open with logs and brush patches to avoid. I followed the W ridge to the top. There is a bump at about 2040. On the way back I angled more to the SW until I intersected the road. Six to 12 inches of snow on top. A peak a boo view of the top of St. Helens.
