Ascent Trip Report

I was dealing with a very swollen IT Band, recovery from ruptured Achilles is a pain in the ass. I decided to do a few short hikes after doing Mt LeConte the day prior. First stop was Mt Pisgah. I've read everywhere that this a short but steep trail. In my condition I managed to make it to the top in 48 min. So I think this is much easier than described, mainly because once it starts climbing the trail is almost entirely constructed rock steps. It makes climbing monotonous but physically quite a bit easier. The views are great from the top. However, not as good as nearby Fryingpan Mt. I think the hike to Mt Pisgah is better, but views not as good. Combine both in half a day and see for yourself.
