Route: Up = Mountaineers Route, Down = Mount Whitney Trail

Distance ---> Up = 6-7 miles, Down = 11 miles
Total = about 18 miles
Elevation Gain ---> 6,400' (+6,200' up, +200' down)
Time ---> 16.5 hours total (8.5 hours to summit)
Camped on 8/15/2009 (Saturday) at Horseshoe Meadows @ 10,000 feet and on Sunday 8/16/2009 (Sunday) at Whitney Portal Campground (Site #39 was great = lots of quiet and privacy)
