Ascent Trip Report

An early afternoon, I fortunately found trail head (with permission) parking at the Stone Tavern Farm just alongside, off to the side, of snowmobiles running the road with twenty going by on my climb to the trail's height of land reaching there an easy wac up to the ridge line and summit via a combination of open woods, old roads, and even traces of a Red Trail in the State Forest; I explored the peak's open wood views and elongated plateau with its surrounding ledge enjoying my steep descent in perfect braking snow conditions, a deep fresh powder over frozen crust, finally catching sight of skiers' in descent at the ski area across the way, yee-hah!
