Ascent Trip Report

I usually don't bag unnamed county high points, but the topo map indicated a lookout tower was here and I was close by, since I had just climbed Andy Mountain to the east. I reached the area after sunset, so I did not have very much light, but it was obvious the lookout tower has been replaced with a large water tower for the new subdivision that covers the area now. The access to the Pauling Co. HP is up a paved service road from a cul-de-sac and the highest spot appeared to me to be outside the fenced water tower at the SE corner. I searched for the "York" benchmark, but I was unsuccessful, however, it was dark. There is not much of a view here, even in the daytime, due to trees and surrounding houses.
