Ascent Trip ReportAfter climbing Woodhull Mountain on the other side of Old Forge, it was nice to do a quick, interesting climb to finish out the weekend. A few cars in the parking lot showed that at least I wasn't going to be the only person on the trail this time. The climbing was more steep than I had anticipated, but not terribly so. In all it was a pretty easy hike and was really fun climbing on the rocks from the second half on. Met a few people on the summit, but because the tower cab was full and I was anxious to get home, I didn't linger and climb the tower itself. The weather was still very cloudy so there were no views, but at least the rain held off. I would like to head back some time and hike this again on the nicer day. It took only 50 minutes roundtrip at a moderate pace and gave me #18 in the Fire Tower Challenge.
