Ascent Trip Report

I have completed this hike so many times (over twenty) that I have not recorded all the times. I record differing routes or circumstances. Today, training for my annual Colorado backpacking trip I attempted to beat my best time up the mountain. The family best time previously was 22 minutes 30 seconds from the Indian Trail Head to the top of the fire tower (adds another 60 feet). Today I smashed my personal and family record by summiting the tower top (0.9 miles and 800 feet vertical) along the steep Indian Trail in:

19 minutes 1 second

At 47, I am quite happy with that time.

Walked from lodge to the TH (0.7 miles) ran/climbed/hiked to the summit came down and my son and guests joined me for a swim off of Pride Rock and then golf cart back to the lodge.
