Ascent Trip ReportComing home from a friends wedding we decided to make a little pit stop at Hoosier Hill to nab another high point. We had just summited Mt. Davis, the highpoint of PA, earlier in the day. After exiting off I-70 onto a roller coaster middle of nowhere road north of Richmond, we careened out of control towards the ceiling of Indiana. Going over one of the hills on this road the tires of our van momentarily left the ground much to the delight of our daughters. They giggled and squealed each time we would go over one of the hills but the biggie really caught us off guard!! The summit of Indiana was a fairly flat area however the road to get there as I mentioned was anything but. This HP is on private land that is graciously left available to highpointers by the owners. There used to be a stile which provided access to the highpoint over the fence. The fence has since been removed so the highpoint has been made even easier if that's possible. A boyscout has even recently did a lot of work at the highpoint area even developing a nice little loop trail through the woods. We signed the register and continued our long route back to Wisconsin from Pennsylvania.
