Ascent Trip Report

Entire family camped at Camden Hill State Park and hiked up Mount Megunticook from our campsite. Great views of Camden and Sherman Cove from the limestone overlook about half mile from the summit. Summit has no views it is simply a peak to bag. David took his newly purchased climbing nuts and practiced setting them in cracks.

Excellent views from cliffs. Nice easy hike. took less than hour to summit and worthy of hanging at overlook a while. Slippery when wet. Karen fell twice coming down. The peak is half mile past views and the trail meanders up and down for around 100 feet of additional gain.
