Ascent Trip ReportMade our way up to Paddy-Go-Easy Pass, beautiful view of The Cradle. Cached a bunch of my backpack load since we decided to go fast. Made it to the mountain, decided not to follow the trail around, but shoot up the side directly to the ridge. Turned out to be a loose and tricky steep scramble and climb. Getting late. Did some debating because we really wanted the south summit. But decided not to bivy so we turned back. Dusk return through meadows was confusing, needed GPS to find way back to trail. Acres of huckleberries ready to pick just below Paddy-Go-Easy Pass. Awesome sunset view of Mt. Daniel from the pass. Used headlamps last hour of return hike.
