Ascent Trip ReportHit trailhead at 430am local time under headlamp, this allowed me enough time to be off the mountain before the afternoon thunderstorms kicked off. I arrived the prior day at around noon and found the mountain inundated in thunderstorms, so my plan was to be off the peak before that happened. On ascent I found that the short ice crossing at the crux of chicken out ridge was a little sketchy without an axe or crampons, but had softened to a near slush state on descent.
