Ascent Trip Report

Fall down low, winter above. Ascended Long Trail (LT) to ski path, crossed and went straight up Jay. Rocks up high were glazed with ice and required careful footing. No view, but not too cold or windy. Descended steps and ski path to fence and LT. Went right around fence onto LT and took a left branch after a short stretch onto the herd path to Big Jay. Herd path was a little overgrown and swampy with a dusting of snow. Not too hard to follow but required some thought and avoidance. Found the sled and sign in canister on Big Jay and hiked out. Took a right on the ski path instead of going back up Jay. Hiked back down the LT in a light rain.
