Ascent Trip ReportGreat weather, great hike. Challenging on the legs toward the end. Had huge summit all to myself, was cloudy but was awesome feeling of having the clouds cool you down as they blew by. Firetower was unclimbable due to missing steps. Alot of noseeums, but if you climb to the highest rock on the summit, they get blown away from the wind and you can eat your lunch and relax. Did this with Azure Mt, only about 12 miles away down the same rd (blue mountain rd). Totaled my car on the way back from this on Blue Mt Rd due to crazy deer. The crash itself was blood-pumping.
