Ascent Trip ReportOut shortly before 8:00am from the Spence Field Shelter. Reached Clingmans Dome via the Appalachian Trail going north in the late afternoon. Foggy, wet day. Upon climbing up on the observation deck, saw almost no mountains except for Mount LeConte, maybe. Reached the Mt. Collins shelter around 7:30pm after hiking 20 miles.
