Ascent Trip ReportWew flew in to the park boundary anlong Ridge. At our landing site we found fresh wolf and bear traks. We hiked up along the ridge and over Shark Tooth ridge and across a snow bowl to the ridge overlooking the glacier. We spent the day working on our mountaineering skills from Brian. We were up at 3:45 and had clear skies and light wind. The glacier is very broken up. As we came around to the east of the mouintain the sun came up and things began to warm up. The snow was able to maintain some consistency so the traveklling wasn't bad. The last pitch up the face allowed us to kick in steps on a 50 degree slope. It wasn't too much past that up a snowey ridge to the summit. Very warm, tee-shirt temperature. Views across the glaciers to Garibaldi lake were spectacular. Another great trip with Canada West Mountain School.
