Ascent Trip ReportMount Osceola is noted to be one of the easier of the 4000-footers to climb. Since this is the first of the 4000 I don’t have much to add other than this was an easier hike than Mount Chocorua. We hit the trail at about 8am just as the fog was burning off…hind-sight it would have been better to get there an hour earlier just to have the cooler weather (high was 84 in Livermore). The first 1/3 of the way up (and the last 1/3 on the way down of course) was some of the rockiest terrain and the most strenuous that I have climbed so far. The rest of the trail was fairly moderate to easy.
