Ascent Trip Report

My son, Dixie and I went on this hike today. I had been planning on doing Tuckerman’s Ravine, however the weather was poor so the trip was called off yesterday. Anyway, this time out I had microspikes and trekking poles. Just two weeks earlier on this trip, the snow was knee / waist deep on the trail, however this time the trail had a few patches of ice a few inches thick that each were about 20-30' long, other than that no ice or snow to speak of. Amazing, what a few weeks of warmer weather will do.

Overall, the hike was great. I felt much better physically this time then last, quite possibly due to the lack of snow and ice.

Looking forward to doing this mountain again in a quicker time.
