Ascent Trip ReportWhen we ascended Ptarmigan Point, we were experiencing the worst winds of my hiking career. Still, it was virtually trivial to get to from Flattop Mountain, and the views were much better (especially looking off a lower crag just east of the summit). Beware that this is a dangerous peak in high winds - the ground is uneven, unsteady rocks, and if the wind is at the point of blowing you over, it makes a very bad place to fall.
