Ascent Trip Reportlol this is easy if you can find it. There are no markers for it, and a million small trails back there. Im sure there must be some pamphlets or something describing the trail system on this property. At the forest ranger school go in the campus, drive up the road and continue left to the parking lot. Go down the gravel rd for .6 mi, take a left, and go down an additional .3. From there will be a SUNY ESF whiteblazed trail 'LATHAM' to the right. This trail goes right up to the tower. Very nice on top, nice plaque, good condition, beautiful views. Very interesting trailwork, not like any other trails ive been on -- interesting signs, steps, woodwork, metal cabling in dangerous areas, a picnic table up on one of the lookouts. Not blood pumping tho. Be sure to sign the book in the FT cab.
