Ascent Trip Report

Drove in a rental car from Salt Lake City to the trailhead, getting there extremely late. Started headlamp hiking in the dark, arriving at the "lake" around midnight. Next day, SAR was searching for a missing man the whole day in the valley as I made the summit push. Relatively easy hike, just long, with an interesting exposed rock scramble right at the top. Magnificent views from the summit. Hiked back down, some in open country to make up a little time, but again in the dark, arriving at the rental car around midnight. Slept in the car, then drove back to SLC. Fun little quick trip!
