Ascent Trip ReportThis was my 6 year old son Aidan's biggest hike yet. We wanted to avoid the road up and all of the tourists that come with it. Aidan prefers hiking up mountains, not driving up them. Luckily it had rained the day before and the entire mountain range was covered in clouds. We managed to make the summit in time for a late lunch on top and found the place nearly deserted. What a treat to have a peak with a road up it practically to ourselves the day before the 4th of July weekend! We wandered the paths near the summit and then made our way back down to the car.
