Ascent Trip Report

Hiked this on a hot day from the PA to the North. The walk is up a dirt service road to a firetower/weather station. Patches of snow still present on shady sides of the mountain. There is no escape from the sun on this one, so bring enough water, hat and sunscreen. --or-- Consider a few white sunbrellas; we acquired a few from a wedding we attended the weekend prior and were something we ended up using the entire week in Yellowstone, what a score. The wild flowers on this hike were incredible! They added a beautiful scent to the air for the entire hike. Short passing shower at the summit. Views for days of everything from Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone all the way to the Tetons.
Easy but sustained.
