Ascent Trip Reportthen we drove down, took a numbing rinse in trail creek, got coffee in Superior, got an overpriced burger in Plains, and drove up to Swamp Ck T.H., car camp. next day took wrong trail UP Swamp Ck. instead of Dee Ck, to ridge and along it to top of Penrose Peak, the highest (?) in the Cour'D alene range. camped just feet below summit on east shoulder. left a new reg. tube w/ a rupee from Nepal. next day i tied jed at pack and hiked out ridge to top of Cherry Peak, then beck and long way down to truck. trailhead needs better signs, confusing. saw a black bear and no trax/people.
