Ascent Trip Report

I didn't do Porter three summers ago when I did Cascade so this was my "make-up" trip. Great day for a hike with cool weather and some cloud cover to keep the temperature steady into the late afternoon. This was my first experience doing a "trail-run" and I loved it! I did Cascade with a partner in 6 hours, but trail-running Porter by myself I completed the round-trip in just 2hrs and 21 mins! Great views from the rock that is 2/10ths of a mile from the summit. The only good view at the actual summit was of Colden. I didn't see a USGS marker but I did see a wooden sign pointing toward the airfield.

Trail was a highway, which I usually shy away from, but it was helpful when I ran sections of the trail.
