Ascent Trip Report

As mentioned in previous reports, you take Windfall Canyon Road (a great dirt road- passenger car friendly) off US 50. Please note this road has been redone lately, and it's current route is not on the topo (or Google Maps). For that matter, the summit road is not even on Google Maps. After a fair distance (sorry, I didn't keep track), Windfall Canyon Road ends into the road ascending Rocky Canyon to the summit. That is rougher, probably requiring high clearance. Some of the higher stretches are steep, possibly requiring 4WD. We parked where we did because we wanted some exercise, not because the road was any worse at the top.
