Ascent Trip Report

It was a long hike. We originally planned on hiking Macomb, but were unable to find the trail. We were following trail signs and didn't know what we were following until we came upon a small pond and decided to look in the map. We realized then that we were on a trail up to Dix Mountain. The trail was flat a lot of the ways and then a long steep climb at the end. It was a beautiful, clear day out and you had 360 degree views. Very windy at the top so we hid to eat our lunch. On the way down it started to snow a bit.
