Ascent Trip ReportWas attempting a Great Range traverse over the Memorial Day weekend. Ran out of water somewhere around Upper Wolfjaw/Armstrong and had to descend after Gothics to fill back up. Camped in between Pyramid and Sawteeth (just down from the col where a creek crosses the trail) and just decided to do Sawteeth and head back to car on second day. Sleeping late Saturday, and then again on Sunday (day two) really didn't help the endeavor along. Ha. View of Basin from Pyramid was beautiful and humbling, and I was sad to leave it. Had several peaceful, gorgeaus views from Sawteeth and especially on the way down toward Lower Ausable Lake. With the exception of a little rain on Sunday morning, the weather was beautiful. Ascended on Saturday from Rooster Comb trailhead parking area; descended from Sawteeth southeast peak to lake road. Met someone on trail who gave me a car ride back along 73 to my car.
