Ascent of Potosi Mountain on 2009-05-09
|Date:||Saturday, May 9, 2009|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||8514 ft / 2595 m|
Ascent Trip ReportGoing up was pretty straightforward, though the loose rocks didn't make it too easy. Going back on the other hand, was considerably more challenging - the trail wasn't nearly as easy to keep, and the loose rocks made it slow going. Another challenge, both ways, was a loss of about 175 feet at one point on the ridgeline - and the slope was fairly steep on both sides!
