Ascent Trip Report

After watching the sun rise from Shaefers Peak (see that trip report), Crew 612-A hiked along the ridge to the Tooth of Time. The spur trail up the Tooth itself is basically just a pile of large boulders for the majority of the 400 vertical feet. It is generally considered a good idea to leave packs at the bottom and carry minimal gear on the climb. After a break at the summit, we hiked down the length of the ridge into base camp. Our best estimate of the total trip mileage was 104.7, covered over 11 days of hiking.
