Ascent Trip Report

Beautiful April day in SoCal, nice no-nonsense ascent from 6800' trailhead to 8828' summit in 3 miles. Traverse through pine forests and classic SoCal Chapparal. Fire Lookout at the top is what it is, it certainly subtracts from a feeling of being in the Wilderness, but USFS land is all about multiple use. Saw a couple uniformed USFS Rangers on the trail doing a great job. Still some areas of snow left, easily traversed however slippery in spots.
