Ascent Trip Report

Departed Crawford Depot at 8:45 am via Avalon/AZ trails. Reached Mt. Tom summit at 10:45 am. Clouded in - no views 48* F. Headed for Mt. Field.
Arrived at summit of Mt. Field from Mt. Tom at 11:55 am. Wooded Summit clouded in- no views. We all took turns hand feeding a pair of tame Grey Jays pieces of a Cliff Bar. Headed for Mt. Willey.
Arrived at summit of Mt. Willey from Mt. Field at 1:05 pm. Sun came out. Descended to the look-out for fine views of Crawford Notch. Could see Mitzpah Hut. Returned to Mt. Field at 2:40 - view of Mount Washington Hotel.
Continued down on Avalon trail with a short side trip up Mt Avalon. Great views of Crawford Notch below. Returned to parking lot at 5:20 pm.
