Ascent Trip ReportDescended from Mt Liberty on Franconia Ridge trail to Mt Flume.
Fantastic warm day, melting snow and ice in the trees simulated a rain and ice storm. We had to put on rain gear. So much snow on the ground that branches were hitting you in the face. Fantastic views of Franconia Ridge from the top. Shawn talked me into descending the Flume Slide Trail. Slow scramble down loose rock, ice and snow. We had to go down different sides of the slide to avoid sending loose rocks down on top of each other. Deep snow at the bottom. We couldn't find the trail and had to bushwhack for a ways before finding the trail.
