Ascent Trip Report

Parked at parking lot at TH and took standard trail up. Very good day hike up the mountain peak in the snow. Steep ascent with no acclimation time allowed me to experience my first headache associated with acute mountain sickness (AMS). The route is a well marked trail. It was in July so I was surprised how much snow was still on the ground especailly at altitudes of 11k to 12k. It was hot our so i wore shorts, but we crossed a lot of snow packs along the route. The views were outstanding. A beautiful range. Hiked with my former college roomate Trey Hamilton.
