Ascent Trip ReportRandom Group. Monica, Paul, Dianne, Kristen, Mike L, and Andrea.
Great weather - warm temperatures with no wind. Sunny, clear skies.
Up Mount Kinsman Trail and Kinsman Ridge Trail. Down Kinsman Ridge Trail and Mount Kinsman Trail.
The trailhead was not the easiest to find since there were no markers - just two stone pillars with a chain between them. Had to park down the road and hike to the trailhead. Muddy conditions at the lower elevations - still plenty of snow at the upper elevations. Most in the group went bare boot but I went with snow shoes up top to lessen the postholing. The sledding wasn't that good - the snow was too soft and wet to get any speed going.
Also did North Kinsman.
