Ascent Trip ReportWe ascended via the Alum cave trail starting at approximately 8:30 a.m. It was cold, but rather beautiful. Along the way we encountered lots of ice, but nothing requiring additional gear. There were icicles, ice "curly crystals" that formed from seepage, and icy patches on rocks. Clear weather provided excellent views, and it became warm enough at noon to relax and nap in the sun. Spent an hour or so moseying around the top, then descended via the Rainbow Falls trail, which seemed to take a long time, but we got there.
