Ascent Trip ReportWhen we woke up at 6:20 with my alarm, I strolled outside to assess our position. I couldn't find any significant landmarks but I still thought we were heading in the right direction. We made breakfast, melted some snow and then broke camp. We started walking at 8:00am. After the road turned slightly north, we saw montagne Brûlé appear straight in front of us. Now I knew we didn't take the right road so we changed our plan, because our time was limited and we needed to be back in Québec City no later than 6:00pm, to climb montagne Brûlé and try to get as far down the col as we could before we reached our cutoff time.
