Ascent Trip ReportAt this point in the hike we were getting quite tired and getting up Winter Star was a beast with packs, a dog and a long climb and day already behind us, especially knowing we still had to drop into Deep gap. When we hit the rope assist sections in the deep snow and melt, it was a little bit of a mental challenge to stay positive, but I knew Deep gap was calling, and it wouldn't be worth doing if it wasn't a challenge. We got to the top, snapped a couple pics and began our descent to camp and some more of our group that was coming up the ridge to meet us in Deep Gap.
