Ascent Trip Report From Keno go west on OR 66 to Hamaker Mountain Rd and drive 8.1 miles to the top of Hamaker Mountain. The actual summit is topped by a fenced FAA facility and not accessible. Extensive views, Mt. Shasta, Mt. McLaughlin. During WWII there was a permanently manned NORAD base here, an important part of the air defense system.
