Ascent Trip ReportTurn off the Sherman Pass Rd onto FSR 22S41 at Paloma Meadows 5.7 miles NE of Sherman Pass. Continue to a T-junction, then take FSR 21S46 to the cul-de-sac at Danner Meadows. Parking here, we hiked directly up the wooded slope to the ridge. A helpful use trail leads to the boulder- and chinquapin-covered summit of Lookout Mountain. A useful guide to this area is "Exploring the Southern Sierra East Side" by J.C. Jemkins and Ruby Johnson Jenkins, 3rd ed., 1992.
