Ascent Trip ReportWe traversed the peak walking up from Saas Grund (an extremely pleasant walk with beautiful views), staying at the Almageller Hut and back down via Hohsaas and a bus back to Saas Grund. The glacier crevasses had really opened up due to the extremely hot summer that year. On the descent there was a fixed ladder over a large crevasse (perhaps the bergschrund?) for some added excitement. One abiding memory of this trip was an extremely ill person in the bunk room at the hut, who spent the entire night snivelling and coughing/sneezing in a very "liquid" fashion. However the quality of the climb the next day made up for a poor night's sleep!
