Ascent Trip ReportFrom our Tyndall Creek camp we hiked south on the John Muir Trail, then headed west across the Wright Lakes area to ascend the easy but at times tiresome Class 1-2 scree slopes to the summit of Mt. Barnard. (In 1947 Mt. Barnard's height was listed at 14,003', making it the lowest of California's 14,000' peaks. Subsequently it was demoted to its present altitude of 13,990')
