Ascent of Silver Peak on 2008-06-18Date: | Wednesday, June 18, 2008 | Ascent Type: | Successful Summit Attained | Peak: | Silver Peak | Location: | USA-Washington | Elevation: | 5605 ft / 1708 m |
Ascent Trip ReportSilver is a good destination year round. This particular ascent was part of a Snoqualmie Trip-tick. Abiel, then Tinkham, then Silver. The trail to Lake Ann is quick and easy. The bushwacking up hill to Abiel was not, a previous winter traverse from Silver over to Abiel was much easier. Abiel has a steep climbers trail off the east side. Tinkham likewise has a steep climbers trail up the south side. Silver was miserable getting off of. Frankly I would recommend it in the winter or spring when the west face is a long, quick ski or glissade run down.
