Ascent Trip ReportParked at the Balsam Lake Parking Area at the end of Beaver Kill Road. Dry Brook Ridge Trail (Blue) to Balsam Lake Mountain Trail (Red) to the summit. VERY windy at the top of the fire tower (the box was locked). Scott stood on the last landing before the top and I stood at the second-to-last. The wind was pretty scary. Back down the same way we came up.
Temperature in the 40s, so the snow was heavy. MSR Lightning Ascents to the rescue, once again.
