Ascent Trip Report

From upper Pioneer Basin, we ascended the chute located 0.2 miles southeast of the peak to Crocker Col, then went up the southeast ridge to the summit, both class 2. The summit rocks are class 3. We descended the northeast ridge, bypassing a cliff on its north side by dropping down about 150' to a ledge; this part of the climb was mostly class 3. We continued down the ridge, which was mostly class 2, to the class 1 sand located further down on the ridge. The GPS track (11.4 miles and 4600' of elevation gain) is from lower Pioneer Basin Lake and includes an ascent of Huntington Peak. Also, the total mileage and elevation gain for both peaks is from Mosquito Flat.
