Ascent Trip ReportI went on a hike to Butterbredt Peak (5997’). My hike started at Hoffman Summit (4846’) where there was a little parking area. I located a ridgeline and followed it up. After about ¼ mile there are some ‘ducks’ that lead to a use trail that goes to the peak. This hike was 2.2 miles round trip with an elevation gain of 1155 feet. I was able to identify many features of Kelso Valley on this trip including Jawbone Canyon, White Mountain, Weldon Peak, Chuckwalla, Cross, Blue Point, Walbrecht Peak, Mayan Peak, Pinyon Mountain, Gold Peak, and more.
