Ascent Trip ReportBeautiful hike. Started in early morning with our youth group. Parked at Merced Lake and took the 7-8 mile trail around the backside of Moraine Dome. A few in our group were really out of shape, so the hike took twice as long as we expected. On the descent my boots started getting uncomfortable, so I took them off and walked barefoot back to the car. I can't imagine what I was thinking.
