Ascent Trip ReportParked near the state border on Washington Road. Hiked on the Frissell Trail to the summit and then down to the State Highpoint on a cool, rainy day. My wife did not want to come back down the steep trail so we decided to take the alternate route which was "easier". Hiked to the Tri-State marker and then hiked down the South Taconic Trail to Boston Corners Road in New York. Hitched a ride back to our SUV with a very nice teacher from The Hotchkiss School in Connecticut. South Taconic Trail is very steep with some great views. My wife did not appreciate the "alternate" route. HP #28.
