Ascent Trip ReportLeft around 1pm from the Big Hollow Rd Trailhead.
Blackdome trail to summit of Black Dome and back to car around 5:30pm
Clear skies, very light flurries. Traction devices very helpful towards the summit of Blackdome due to some icy pitches where it gets very steep. I used Microspikes, friend used 12pt.
Fantatstic views from summit. Roughly 4-8" fresh snow over deeper crusty base depending on location. We broke trail up to saddle where we met a fellow coming down from blackdome who broke that out.
