Ascent Trip Report

Rainy and Windy the whole trip.. Took the Coot trail up. (highly recommended for the ascent) This trail is steep but short (.8 miles). Ascent took approximate 1 hour due to rain and a novice hiker. We stayed the night at the care taker's cabin. Really nice accommodations, though the wood stove was not working. We believe the flu was clogged. Took the Bobcat trail down. the trail is more moderate and MUCH less rocky. Total descent took about 35 minutes. Be advised the roads to teh trail head can be muddy and rough on teh suspension.
