Ascent Trip Report

3rd highest peak in Yosemite, 12,590’, 9 miles round trip, 3,268’ in elevation gain, Class 2+ route, Started at Sawmill Campground/Trailhead. Followed path past Carnegie Institute and leave the trail to cross-country a bushy gully and follow a climber’s trail through a little cirque with small lakes. Scrambled toward the East Ridge to a sandy plateau. Climbed a short, but exposed, remainder of the East Ridge to the summit.
